Man accused of growing cannabis and illegally possessing cartridges for a 45-caliber pistol
A Worcester man accused of growing cannabis was found with 45-caliber pistol rounds, police say.
Ben Barnes faces four charges, including possession of ammunition for an unqualified firearm.
The bank heard police find a cannabis plant on Sunday August 8 that Barnes allegedly grew when he was 37 years old.
During the search, the officials found ammunition for a 45-caliber pistol.
He is also accused of assaulting a youth on the same day.
The judges heard that Barnes was also accused of possessing cannabis just two days after his first arrest on Tuesday, August 10th.
Barnes, of Black Lane South, Worcester, appeared at the Worcester Justice Center on Friday, November 19, and gave an ad on Monday, November 16.
The case was adjourned and he was held on bail until the next hearing on Thursday, December 16.
